Like any other girl, those words excited me. But they also scared me because they were very much random.

Alessandro and I were in the middle of a conversation in the kitchen when he blurted them out. They still hadn't found a replacement for Maya because they couldn't just trust anybody, especially after what happened with Maya.

Inviting any man or woman to be a full-time cook in the house gave that person access to information and who knows what the person might do with it?

I'd never seen Alessandro do such a mundane job, but I'd said I wanted to cook and he offered to join because he was still following me around to make sure I was okay.
