Summer’s POV

As he drew nearer, his breath warmed my lips, and the sound of rain faded in comparison to my racing heart. His grip on my waist was firm, sending shivers of anticipation through my body. I tried to shift my focus to the rain, but my every thought was consumed by the desire to feel his connection. It was as though my body craved his kiss, his embrace, and his touch like a wild animal in heat.
