Next morning

As I wake up, my heart warms, seeing Alexander talking to our little one, placing his head on my belly.

I smile at the sight of him and run my fingers through his hair. “Good morning, daddy.” I whisper, and his gaze lifts to meet mine, his lips curving into a warm smile.

“Good morning, mommy. Did you sleep well?” He asks, his eyes still fixed on my belly.

“Yes, I did. And you?” I reply, feeling grateful for this moment.

“I did too. Our little one kept me company.” He answers, stroking my belly.

“I can’t wait to meet him or her.” I express my excitement.

“Me too. I already have so many plans for our child.” He speaks, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm.

I let out a soft laugh. “I know you were reading parenting books last night. You’re going to be the best father.”

“And you’ll be the best mother.” He replies, moving closer to my face and capturing my lips in a soft kiss.
