“I can’t fucking believe you spent all the damn money Damon gave us, Lucas.” I cross my arms, giving him a hard look as he shoves his phone into his pocket. Damon just promised to meet us in an hour, but now we’re officially broke.
Lucas shrugs like it’s no big deal. “Oh, come on, Aria. You said you were cold, so I bought you a jacket.” He pouts, pointing at the fur-lined leather draped over my shoulders.
I glance down at it. “Yeah, but I didn’t think you’d buy a designer one! We could’ve gone to a damn thrift store or something.” I scowl at him. The price tag on this thing was two thousand fucking dollars.
Lucas recoils like I just suggested he eat expired gas station sushi. “Second-hand? That’s disgusting.” His nose wrinkles in pure disgust.
Goddess. “Lucas, are you sure you can survive here?” I narrow my eyes. “Like, really sure?”
