Lily's POV

I could hear my voice is laced with urgency as I spoke to herself, "Come on, Lily, you need to get out of here. You can't stay in this town anymore." I glanced around nervously, her eyes darting back and forth.

I got off the seat and pacing through and forth, without knowing the next step to take or even where to go.

Just then, my phone rings, breaking the silence.

"Hello." I hesitated for a moment before answering the call.

"Lily, it is Alex. I heard about Kayla's arrest. What is going on?" The voice on the other end is laced with concern.

"Phew!" I exhaled.

Alex was my high school friend and partner in crime until we both lost connection with each other.

I wonder how he was able to get int of this arrest but that is the least of my worries now!" I thought
