Chapter 148

The morning of the next day, Damon woke up. He felt the empty space beside him and turned over. Anya was already gone.

She must be up early.

He got up from bed. He started to do his morning routine.

While wearing his suit, his phone rang for a call. It was his head secretary, Gabes. He pressed to answer the call.

“Yes.” His cool and distant voice greeted.

“Good morning, sir. The board informed me there will be a conference meeting today.” Gabes explained directly to the point. It was their rule, to get straight to business.

When Damon heard this, he raised a brow.

A conference? Hmm. Looks like this will be the day.

“Prepare everything. We’ll show up in time.” He ordered Gabes.
