My breath hitches and he adores it. His lips find my neck while my hands grasp the hair at the nape of his neck. "You make me crazy, darling."

"Not purposefully." I tease and he chuckles.

"Nevertheless... You do. I lose all sense of the world when you fucking look at me. Loving you is what kills me but revives me just the same. Every morning. Every night."

His words make me freeze in my spot. I am not nearly as poetic as him so sometimes he needs to have some mercy on me. I can't take all of this. "I love you too?" I smile, knowing that my response is nowhere near his.

But Lexcis loves me even more for it. He laughs and cups my cheeks, pressing a fleeting kiss against my lips before he embraces me. "I love you is the perfect response," he whispers to me.
