He started to struggle desperately, but the woman only laughed. However, she merely disappeared into the dripping veins and falling leaves of the forest, leaving his blade slicing across empty space with a fading chuckle as a trail. Across his bare legs, near to his fire, the roots spread out and rose again to form the woman. "Really, you foolish lad, you always put on a show," she scoffed. However, she was no longer directly in front of him; she was instead sitting by his fire. Instead of attempting to confront this seductive woman in combat, which he appeared incapable of winning, he had an opening. After a quick scan to the left and right, he made the decision to flee. I don't care about his gang. Before turning around and breaking into a sprint, he sprinted right before dipping back to the left.
