Chapter 41. Isabella Leaves Forever
“Her luggage is missing, Hudson,” said Anna Sophia, as she searched her room thoroughly. Weston whirled around and rushed to her room, ransacking it desperately. Her luggage, her handbag, everything was missing. He ran around the house, checking every washroom, the balcony, the kitchen, the storeroom, and every nook and corner like a maniac. Tears of hopelessness streamed down his eyes.
“Isabella,” he yelled brokenly, his voice echoing through the still apartment. His mom sat sobbing in one corner while his dad sat frozen, clutching at his heart. Hudson found a note on the dining table and picked it up with trembling hands.
He read it aloud,
I’m leaving, bro. Tell mom and dad not to cry for me. They have done so much for me and I am indebted to them. I’m sorry that I had to take this step. I can’t watch Weston get married to someone else. May he find his happ
