Chapter 16. Did You Like It?

Sofia saw Davion had already unpacked the food on the dining table. He was bringing out the plates when Sofia entered the kitchen. He ignored her completely, and Sofia found it odd after what they shared in the closet. Did he not enjoy the kiss? He was so much more experienced that maybe he was disappointed by her response or lack of it. 

She quietly followed him outside with the cutlery and water. They served themselves the spaghetti and meatballs that he had ordered. There were other dishes too, like herb-crusted pork cutlets, garlic breadsticks, herbed lemony cocktail shrimps, and eggplant mini pizzas. It seemed as if he had ordered for a battalion instead of two. She noticed he sat down quietly, lost in his thoughts, tasting the food absent-mindedly. 

Sofia had the feeling that he might have lost interest in her. Maybe he was now repenting of having married her. After all, she had zero knowledge of the art of kissing and making love!
