Chapter 18. Whisked Away to Las Vegas

"I'm just kidding, relax. I meant you've committed the crime of stealing bro's heart," said Liam, grinning at Violet, who stared at him in surprise. Her cheeks colored profusely as realization struck her.

"Why do I need to go to Las Vegas?" she asked, her young, innocent face so wild with worry that Serenity took pity on her.

"It's okay, don't be scared. Lucas got into a fight with our cousin Tyler in Paris and both landed at the hospital. Dad brought him to our home in Las Vegas yesterday. But he won't eat, rest, or give us any peace. He wanted to come here and get you. He has driven us crazy and Mom is so tired of him, she sent us to get you so that he leaves us in peace," informed Serenity.

"Was Lucas in the hospital? Is he okay? What happened to him?" asked Violet, as tears pooled in her eyes. She felt guilty for jumping to the wrong conclusions about him. He really was away on a trip and then at the hospital while she had no clue about his condition.
