Chapter 34. Thelma
Wesley, sitting comfortably in his office, his eyes fixed on his phone screen, read through the news articles and the hate-filled comments that accompanied them. Unknown to him, his expression shifted from time to time, reflecting the range of emotions he was feeling at that moment.
At first, he seemed calm and collected, his eyes scanning through the words on the screen with ease. But as he read deeper into the comments section, a slight look of frustration and anger crept onto his face. His brows furrowed, and his lips pressed tightly together as he read particularly venomous comments.
“Weren’t these people her fans? Did they not used to be her fans?” he could not help but mutter as he asked no one in particular. Now that she made a mistake even though they’re oblivious to the fact that she was set up, did it still have to get to this?
Suddenly realizing something, his eyes narrowed with a mix of disbelief and disgust, and he shook his head in disapproval.
