Chapter 21. Beyond Grateful

That whole night, Daisy had thought of many ways to retaliate without using her own hands. She cannot be reckless this time. "If anyone is to be kicked out, it's not going to be me!" Daisy did not notice what time she fell asleep but with a smile on her face.

Trisha woke up almost the same time Daisy dozed off.

Trisha slept straight for eight hours, and she woke up with the sun already bright up. It wasn't the sunlight that woke her up, though, because the curtains on her window were thick and dark to let them sleep as much as they wanted or as much as they needed after a night at work.

But Trisha likes to see the riverside facing her window whenever she wakes up in the morning, so she pulls her curtains to the side while enjoying her coffee or morning cereals. They are not allowed to cook in their room, but they can eat.

She has a table by the window where she also sits as she studies. She took online classes as she cannot continue going to school every day
