"He isn't well yet; the findings of his conditions are not yet clear."

Denny was startled. He had not been so active to check on Desmund's condition for a few reasons, honestly.

First, they weren't close. As Denny grew up, Desmund was the male version of Denisse's image in Denny's life.

Then, having to do the tasks Desmund had abandoned due to his accident.
