Chapter 277. Never Losing Hope

"Honey, would you like me to call the nurse to keep you company here while I attend the hearing?" Denny asked gently.

"Is it okay with you?" Aleah asked back with a yawn.

"Of course, it's okay with me," Denny chuckled, looking at her drowsy mien.

"My eyelids are getting heavy. I am afraid I might not even make it to the next door before I doze off," she giggled with her eyes already closed, and she was struggling to stay awake. "All I do these days are eat, read, and sleep," she murmured in a self-compliance.

Aleah still had her online classes continued, but aside from that, she felt like she wasn't doing anything fruitful. She had asked Denny to bring home some of the intern work she used to do in his office, but the man gravely disagreed.

"You are helping two lovely lives grow and develop within you," Denny replied as he would always remind Aleah. "What could be more fruitful than that?" he kissed her lips and forehead as he lovingly explained to her.
