Chapter 23. Lights

After the castle tour, I asked Diesel if I could spend some time alone in the library and he walked me back over to it. I stepped inside and admired the general splendor of this beautifully crafted Library. The room was round, with dark wooden shelfs that were lined with books three stories high. It had two large sliding wooden ladders and a beautiful fireplace. There were two large study tables in the middle, with computers and several deep armchairs around the room.

I found the section on werewolf history and pulled several books down. The fireplace was already stacked with wood, so I lit a match and brought the fire to full. I sank into a cozy armchair by the fireplace flipping through books and reading page after page. I had just finished reading about the rare white wolf. I turned the page to read about a wolf even more rare than a white wolf----
