Luke's pov
The black wolf snarled, his eyes narrowing with fury as he calculated his next move. We were no longer just a pack of wolves; we were a force of nature, an unquenchable flame ignited by our collective resilience and unity. With every heartbeat, the anticipation surged through us, amplifying each flicker of power as we stood against him, determined to banish the darkness that had haunted the edges of our lives.
“Enough!” he roared, charging at me, the darkness pooling around him in a furious torrent. I could feel the malevolence radiating off him like heat from a fire, trying to instil fear within our hearts. Yet, as he bore down on me, I could see the uncertainty behind that ferocity. He was no longer the predator; he was desperate.
“Together!” I shouted again, urging my pack to rally. Carrie and Ryder poured their strength into the barrier of light that Rachel had conjured, reinforcing it as we prepared for his assault. <
