Chapter 11

  Isla was determined to face that evil old witch and I admired her courage to do so. Mrs Jenkins was pure evil, the fact that she openly admitted to destroying Pembroke left me speechless. The question of why still remained unclear but I was sure that we would get to the bottom of it eventually.

  I watched as she walked towards the packhouse leaving me and my beta with sasha. They seemed like they were becoming comfortable with each other which was great to see.

  “Beta Nigel, we need to attend this house where Mrs Jenkins lived. I want Isla guarded and her every move watched. She is not to access the prisoners. Mrs Jenkins is a dangerous witch and I’m unsure if Isla’s wolf will keep from taking over her next time. If she kills that old witch then we will not get the answers that we need.”

  My beta nodded and turned to Sasha.

  “I will not be long.” He started to say but I raised my hand.

  “No, I will go alon
