Chapter 16. Concerns

Mark stormed into his office with a loud slam of the door.

"How was it?" Kaitlyn hurried to ask but seeing the look on Mark's face, she became silent. She had suggested that he write a letter to Val to at least save them faces in the company... and make a pact with Val. 

Kaitlyn knew that Mark had done really bad to Val. And she shared a responsible part of the blame as well. After all, Kaitlyn was Mark's side piece when he was still with Val. But since Val was moving on, she should be able to make peace with them right?

Kaitlyn hadn't given a thought to whether she'd have taken Mark's apology if it were to be her on the other side of the story in place of Val.

Mark clearly hasn't given a thought to it either!

"Tsk! your idea was not the best in any way!" He retorted and pointed. " Now I don't know what that wench could do. I could literally get sacked!" Mark paced about.
