I took a deep breath and began organizing the items we were going to bring. I’m eager to get to Ferdinand’s quarters and anxious about my grandfather, mother, and children.

So, I grabbed the necklace Carrie had given me and closed my eyes, not knowing what to do first. My plans are no longer being carried out. Damn. I clenched my fists and reloaded my weapons because I wanted to confront Ferdinand myself.

I only came to a halt when I heard shouting.

“Shouldn’t we tell Scarlett the truth right now? Do we need to wait for her to remember?”

I frowned and moved closer to the door to look at them. I noticed they were arguing.

“Ara…”

“You don’t get it; tell her the truth! Scarlett is in too much pain!”

“Ara is right; I was mistaken in blaming everything on Scarlett because I forgot that our family and Ferdinand had a long history of conflict.”
