Chapter 198. Conversation of a Lifetime
THE car honks at her. She felt a lump on her chest. “I should have taken the key with me or driven that damn car,” she said to herself.
The car soon got near her, "Get in the car, Latton. Get in the damn car... Please..." A man yelled in concern.
“Lucian,” she mumbled under her breath. She felt an instant relief but hesitated to enter his car. For her, once she rode with him, she would cling and believe him all over again.
He opens the passenger car door.
“Get in.” He uttered.
She glances at his gloomy face. Sensing that no other cars were coming her way, she entered his car.
“Why are you here? How did you find me?” She asks curiously.
He didn't speak and only drove.
"Where are you taking me?" She asks.
"I don't know." He replied, as he floored the car. “I saw you get in his vehicle, followed you, then lost you in the intersection. Why are you walking on the roadside?”
She lowered her head, “Bad date.” She uttered.
