His Mate - 8. Someone Wants Me Dead

Samantha's POV

Emily makes sure that the driver doesn't tell Alpha Hughes about the visit. Goddess knows he'll be in as much trouble as me. The pack house is in view in about twenty minutes of driving. When we get out of the town car Emily reminds me not to tell Alpha Hughes. Then I remember my question for her.

"Do you know anyone named Michael?"

Ouch.

Someone pushes me against a wall. I can tell by the scent it's Alpha Hughes. "Samantha, what do you know about Michael?" His deep voice presses against my neck.

"U-Um, I don't know anything. He j-just told me to t-tell you he-he says hello." I choke out.

Alpha Hughes stares me in the eyes. "What did you tell him?"

I don't answer.

"WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM?" He yells.

"I didn't tell him anything, he read my thoughts."

"What the hell were you thinking?"

For a long time I try to string the right words together. But miserably fail and end up with a mess
