Book 1: Chapter 25

Aliyah didn’t think, didn’t talk and didn’t react. She just sat, staring at the man with her bright blue eyes. Edward waited for a reaction or an emotion from the little wolf but when nothing happened, he feared a little that he may have broken her with his revelation. He reached out and snapped his fingers twice in front of her face and watched as light finally returned to her eyes. She started panting and soon, she was hyperventilating.

“What is it now?” Edward asked, slightly annoyed and slightly worried, and he hated the fact that he was worried.

“That’s not true,” Aliyah finally found her voice.

“What is not true?”

“You can’t be an Original.”

Edward raised an eyebrow, “oh really?”

“Yes, every Original is dead, everyone knows that.”
