He looked as surprised as I was as he took me in, his mouth dropped open, and then as if to realize what had just happened, he closed his mouth, and his dazed expression remained. He looked quite different from how I remembered him, save for his oceanic blue eyes. His jaws were more chiseled than the last time I saw him and his beards, which were minimal and trimmed, suited his handsome face perfectly.
It seemed as though all these years had him aged backward and hotter than any businessman on the Forbes list. I suddenly became conscious of my outfit, and how I looked, if I looked worse than he remembered. As though pulling me from my thoughts, I heard him click on his laptop before addressing me.
“I wasn’t aware you applied for the position of personal assistant.” even his voice was textured, deeper than what I recollected, and more chill-spinning.
I cleared my throat, “Yes—” my voice faltered. I inwardly rolled
