The only sound that Anna could hear was her heartbeat, pounding so loud that she thought her eardrums would explode.

The lights were off, but the moon outside the window became her torch. She was just frozen and did not know what to do or say.

His eyes displayed an unknown emotion, and his lips curved slightly, making her feel like he was smirking while looking her in the eye.

The shadow of her face reflected in his dim dark eyes. It was glittering and mesmerizing to see. His hot breath gave her chills and coldness.

She was struck by whatever it was. His baritone voice was sexy and tempting, as well as his sharp eyes with his thin, seductive lips.

When he brushed his knuckles over her face, she felt a huge voltage of electricity going down in her system. His warmth was good to feel, and the way he was touching her was gentle. As if she was a piece of something significant.
