Chapter 4. The Eleventh City of the Realm
"Five-star general! This is the girl's room. We transferred her from jail because of her current health." One of the militaries spoke. They were both trembling, and they even felt their throat hurt.
Like the realm, Dye was also a domineering man in the human world. As well as him being a powerful one. He had access to the military's power which was so advantageous for them. One command and everyone would follow his orders.
However, only the seven deadly sins knew him as an Alpha and not a human being. Even the generals from each company didn't know his background and true colors. More on, he was skillful at hiding his true self.
Only a few people call him an Alpha. The rest would name him a Vaewolf. They thought that his mother was a pure vampire and that he was half-breed himself, but he knew himself more.
He knew that he was an Alpha but with a blood of a vampire. His mother was already half-breed, and his father was an Alpha, so he was also seventy-five percent Alpha.
"Report to the commander from company twenty-four and tell him that I'm back." His deep voice sent goosebumps to them. They swallowed their own saliva before saluting and saying their response.
"We will deliver the message right away five-star general!" Both of them said. Their foreheads were sweating intensely, and their backs were soaked with sweat. They saluted well with their body straight like how they practiced it to be perfected.
"Dismiss." Dye said before turning his head away from them. Once he sensed that they had left, he slowly turned the doorknob and opened the room. It was located not far away from his office.
As soon as he entered the dim room, the familiar aroma that captured his attention spread around the surroundings. He quickly closed the door and slightly loosened his tie.
The scent was pleasant, but it was suffocating him. His black eyebrows lined up, and his forehead frowned a little bit. He sniffed many times before deciding to walk near the bed where a figure of a woman could be seen.
His thin lips parted slightly as the pleasurable aroma began to change into a disgusting smell. This lady was indeed suitable for his predicted prophecy hundreds of years ago.
She has the quality from the said eleventh city of the realm that disappeared after the hit of meteors many decades ago.
It was said that the city was the rarest and unique one where the creatures living there couldn't be named. He always thought that it was just part of an imaginative history of their world, but when he saw this girl one month after her father escaped, he felt that there was something wrong.
Then he took the initiative to investigate the qualities and personalities of the creatures living in the said eleventh city of the realm. But due to its long disappearance, the history didn't have all the information about it. However, it was said that the eleventh city was called... Faith.
At first, he thought that the name was a mistake, but soon, he slowly accepted the fact of it being called Faith city. Even the name of the place was extremely different than others, not including their hidden abilities as the rarest creatures of the realm.
"W-who are you? W-what are y-you going to do?" He came back to his senses, and all the redolence earlier transformed onto a normal scent of a human being. With this, his face scowled with displeasing in his eyes.
How could it be that the scent of this girl changed? Does it mean that he got the wrong person?
Nonsense! He can't be lied to by his own senses! As the son of Alpha Dominic, he has the power to trust his instinct, as ninety percent of it is all true.
"You… How did you hide your scent just now?" He asked with his terrifying voice. The room was dark because the only light that accompanied them inside was the light of the moon. In Dye's world, there's no sun, but there's so-called morning, totally different from the human world.
"What are you talking about? P-please, release me." The girl's soft and innocent features were seen by his two eyes. Her reflection, as well as her nice figure, was visible in the dark. Her delicate skin looks so soft and attractive.
"Set me free please…"
"Why would I release you?!" His tone was a bit scary, which resulted in her gulping many times.
One of Dye's personalities was that his patience was short, and he's a high-tempered man. That was maybe the reason why all of his servants were afraid of him.
"P-please…" She managed to move by her knees on the bed and touched Dye's legs to beg. "M-my father is not well. I-if he goes in jail, he'll end up d-dying." She added and pursed her dry lips.
The moment her fingers touched his legs, he felt a sudden bang of pain in his chest. It was as if there was an arrow piercing his heart into two. His knees felt weak, and all of a sudden, he vomited blood.
He bent his knees and held his grip on the side of the bed. How could it be? He just consumed rare blood from the lady of Caprus after he came here. Why would his strength vanish earlier than he expected?
"W-what happened to you?" She got panicked when she heard him cough. She couldn't see clearly due to the dimmed surroundings. All she knew was that there was a man in front of her who might be one of the people who put his father in jail.
"A-are you alright?" Her heart started racing rapidly. She did not know what to do.
"Stop! Go away, and don't even try to lay a finger on me!" There was a warning in his voice. He sure vomited blood, but why?
When the woman moved away with her trembling body, he felt the air going into his nose. His knees were still weak but slowly regaining their strength. He then stared at the woman who was currently seeking light and was obviously afraid.
"If you want your father to be release in prison, follow my orders in the future." He commanded and stood up. Although the woman was shaking, she nodded and replied before standing up as well.
When the ray of a moon's light from the window focused on her, he was surprised when he clearly saw the lady's image. Her fascinating grey eyes and his thin pink lips made him feel a sudden familiarity.
'It seems that he finally found the missing princess of the eleventh city of the realm.'
