Soon, Gary was taken out of the emergency room, lying on the bed weakly and muzzled with an oxygen mask.

When he saw Estelle, Gary tried hard to reach out to hold her hand.

Seeing him like this, Estelle felt distressed. She walked forward and gently held his withered hand, saying, “Grandpa, I’m here.”

“He’s talking to someone on the phone. Maybe he’s busy with the affairs of the company.”

Gary said disapprovingly with a weak voice, “Humph. He must be talking to that shameless woman over the phone.”

Estelle didn’t say anything. Whether it was Gretchen who called Cristofer or not had nothing to do with her.

“Grandpa, have a good rest. I’ll be here with you.”
