Chapter 44. First Show
It was the second time that Red entered the Cirque arena. Her steps felt unsteady, even though there was Ursula behind her, looking intimidating and ready to protect Red at any time. As soon as Red took her seat, all eyes were on her. The number of humans was dwindling, and when they saw the figure of a large robot entering the arena, their eyes were naturally drawn to it.
"You already stole the show. That's a good sign when you're a star," Fiona whispered, sitting next to Red.
"We're here to fight, Fiona."
"Remember, the Cirque is a place to sell drama. Every human with a confirmed death on Ohm needs entertainment, Red." The young woman grinned.
There was some truth in what Fiona said. Even if it sounded cruel.
"I'm not sure," Red replied quietly.
"To duel?"
Red just frowned. "I guess so."
"You have an amazing robot. Didn't it cut a hole in the paneling of the Jurassic arena?"
