Chapter 11. Heat

“Kyson, Andre is here,” I heard Liam’s voice through our mindlink.

What does he want this early in the morning?

“Send him to my study,” I ordered him.

“Alright,” he replied.

“Has she talked yet?” I asked. Liam had grilled her last night; she should’ve talked by now.

“Not yet. She still denied having known about anything. Kyson... Maybe she’s telling the...” Liam informed me, but I cut him off.

“You believed her words?” I snorted, and Liam went silent. A few minutes later, the door to the study opened, and Liam appeared, followed by Andre and his Beta.

“Alpha Andre, Beta Erick. To what do we owe this pleasant visit?” I asked as I rose from my seat and went to him.

“Good morning, Beta Kyson,” they greeted me politely and took a seat.

“We found our pack members torn apart in the forest, and we smelled both you and Beta Kyson’s scents on the scene. May I know what happened?” Andre asked Liam politely.
