Miran stood watching his phone. Should he call, or should he not? Ever since he saw Kim's mother, the feeling of making a mistake bothered him so much.

"Miran?" Eisa called.

"Oh, Eisa."

"Is something wrong?"

"No, I just—" he stopped looking at his cell. Kim's text had just come in.

"Seems like you were expecting a text," Eisa laughed.

"Why are you two here?" Miran frowned at Eisa.

"Anyways, tell me you're gonna come to Dubai soon."

"Hm, I would for your anniversary, I've told you!"

"Since you met Kim, you've been a full Californian."

"Stop, it's not just her. I have worked there and here."

"I can see that, and you must really like her."

"Yeah, I do. She makes me... want to do better. I'm always restless, I guess."
