My muscles tensed, ready to storm across that floor and grab her—to shake some sense into that pretty little head, to remind her exactly where she belonged. Beneath me. Behind me. Nowhere near my territory.
But something held me.
I pulled back, ducking behind a pillar before she could spot me. And then I recognized the wolf standing beside her. Aaron.
The Head of Marketing. The same useless bastard I’d had to grovel to for years, laughing at his terrible jokes, pretending to respect his mediocre opinions, all for the privilege of keeping my position. And now she was standing there, chatting with him like they were old friends.
