Elena’s POV

He was interrupted by the loud sound of clicking heels before the door flung open. Bella walked in wearing a tight face.

She came in dressed in black, sharp from head to toe, with several staff members trailing behind her. No softness. No pretending. She looked like she was here to collect something she believed already belonged to her.

“Since everyone’s already here,” she said, “let’s make this official.”

I leaned back in my chair, silent. “I’ve just been appointed Vice Director of Marketing,” she continued. “And as of this moment, Elena Grey no longer works at T.E.”

That finally got my attention. “Did Eric sign off on that?” I asked.

Her head snapped in my direction. “Don’t hide behind him,” she shot back. “I don’t need his approval. I’m part of this company now.”

She gestured toward the mess around me. “Clean out your office. Turn in every document you touched. Anything tied to Mr. Authur especially.”
