Even though I wanted to break away from the kiss, I couldn't and instead drew closer to him, my mate and I purred in delight—the temptation caused by the mate bond.

Alpha Oswald's lips curled with mockery, yet he deepened the kiss. His hands reaching for my hair and running his hand through it jolted me awake.
