(Lizzie POV)

The door is unlocked as I insert the key and twist it, which becomes one of the most satisfying things. I step into the house, pleased to return to the ever so familiar ambience of the house that I missed. The keys are set on the table, beside the door, and I take off my shoes.

I head upstairs with the thrill to the thought of returning to my husbands.

The door to my personal bedroom is cracked open. I pushed the door open, slowly, in hopes to not disturb anyone.
