Chapter 24
A variety of outdoor dining sets with umbrellas, cabanas, and chaise lounges had been placed on the beach to create a bright and dynamic atmosphere for the celebration. When Lance noticed me on the balcony, he immediately excused himself from his parents to talk to me.
"Good morning," he said.
Of course, I heard him, but I merely lifted an eyebrow in response. I was not too fond of the fact that he was not in bed when I got up.
"Good morning," he said again while grinning from ear to ear.
“Is something funny?” I inquired.
“You are funny this morning. Why? Are you disappointed that I left you alone in bed?”
“You always knew that I hate it!”
