Chapter 110. An Idea

When Jackson’s car stopped in front of Emma’s house, she leaned back in her seat, exhaling a sigh of relief. Her mind was still swirling with the thoughts from earlier.

As soon as she stepped out of the car, she noticed Alex, her private harp instructor, waiting at the gate. Tall and elegant, he held a small harp case in his hand.

Alex smiled as Emma and Jackson approached. Jackson furrowed his brow slightly, scanning the man from head to toe.

Jackson’s scrutinizing gaze made Alex feel a bit uneasy. Jackson didn’t need to act this way. Emma knew he was just worried about her, but this mild jealousy was making things uncomfortable. She wanted to quickly diffuse the situation before it became more awkward.

“Jackson,” she said softly but firmly, “you should go home and rest. I still have a lesson with Alex.”
