Chapter 31. Frenzy

Anna stormed out of Ricard’s mansion, her eyes ablaze with suppressed rage. She tried to maintain her composure until she slammed the car door shut, but as soon as she was seated behind the wheel, all the emotions she had been holding back exploded like a volcano.

She screamed inside the car, the sound echoing within the confined space, but no one could hear her, no one could witness the madness that was boiling over inside her. Anna began pounding on the steering wheel, her hands clenched so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

“Dammit! Why do you treat me like this?” she yelled, her eyes bloodshot with angry tears.
