"What's going on? Why are you all shouting? It's too early and..." he says, but our father interrupts him.

"Your sister got into medical school!" my father says and I see my brother's eyes widen before he approaches me.

"Congratulations, Aurora! This is fantastic!" my brother says, hugging me tightly.

Tyler and I are brothers, I'm older than him and he's 17 today, which means that next year he'll also be going to university like me today.

I think we have the best parents in the world, our mother is Brazilian and our father is American, I never thought it would be the perfect combination. I used to think that love didn't exist in this world, but when I look at my parents I quickly change my mind.

My family and I celebrate my entry into medical school and when they leave my room I tell my best friend the news.
