I asked her, my eyes walking around the place in admiration of what I had set up to surprise the man that stole my heart.

I was disguised as should be less I bombed into the man who was sent to murder me.

I just wished that Jason too was disguised. Well, there was nowhere he was going to hide because the spotlight would always be on him as the celebrant, the reason for the gathering.

"I will find him, how about that?"

"Cynthia, you should have stayed back at home," I told her and she frowned.

"No, I need to be here so I will confirm if his love is true. Don't worry about me, I got your back."

She smiled and started making for the park, the main venue for the celebration.

I wondered if she was going to go fetch him. Why would he not honor my invitation?

It was quite heartbreaking seeing that the person you had planned a surprise for got you disappointed by not turning up as supposed.
