Jeremy’s fingers traced the intricate design etched onto the silver keystone, a sense of familiarity tingling in his mind. He stared at it intently, trying to recall where he had seen a similar keychain before. It had to be someone from the police station, but the details eluded him, shrouded in the fog of his memory.
As he turned the keychain over, inspecting every curve and crevice, a fragment of memory flashed before his eyes—a fleeting glimpse of a fellow officer holding a keychain adorned with a similar emblem. It was someone he had interacted with regularly before his suspension.
