Mason’s POV

Yeah ok, I was being a dick.

But I don’t care.

It was better this way.

I needed to make it clear we were still enemies.

Well not really enemies but we did still hate each other.

Also, I needed to make sure she wouldn’t suspect me of doing anything considering her job.

First of all, it was clear as day that what I was doing was illegal and I could go to prison for hacking into their documents.

Especially since her boss was an asshole for smaller things.

And if he ever finds out what I did he would make sure I pay for everything.

And I had a suspicion my consequences would be far worse than they were for Rachel and every woman that was in that company before her.

So back to the topic at hand.

It was really important that no one knew about what I was doing.

Also, I didn’t want her to think I developed any feelings towards her and that it was the reason behind my secret operation.
