“You felt it,” I repeated incredulously.

“Yes, I felt that something upset you. And I want to know what it was so I can decide whether I need to turn this plane around and come back to you.”

I groaned into the sky. “You make absolutely no sense sometimes, you know that?” I grumbled. “Dating you is like being on an episode of The Twilight Zone.”

“Don’t change the subject. I felt you get embarrassed or worried about something. Someone at school said something that made you upset.”

“I-it’s really not a big deal.” I swallowed. “Basically, just the whole school finding out we had sex last night.”
