Mattt smiled, “I knew you’d see the light.”
Bartz glanced at Nata, “Turn him into something that doesn’t have a mouth.”
Nata rubbed her hands together in glee. “With pleasure. He’d make a great dung worm. And it won’t take much magic.”
“Hold it! Hold it,” Mattt said. “I thought there were rules that mages couldn’t use magic against normals.”
“There are,” Bartz agreed. “Only the rules do not apply when a member of the royal house is missing. All bets are off.”
“Besides,” Nata said. “I’m an arch mage. Who’s going to stop me?”
