Chapter 64

“Why have you brought me here?” Emma asked as soon as they got to the station.

“You are under arrest for the kidnap of Betty Brooks,” Matthew said walking towards her with Peter.

Nicholas left earlier after receiving a phone call which he claimed to be from work.

“Kidnap? Betty Brooks? How?” She asked.

“Betty Brooks was kidnapped two days ago and all the evidence we have is pointing at you,” Matthew said.

“I swear I don’t know anything about this, please believe me on this,” She said in tears.

“I have tendered my resignation letter Peter, I swear I have nothing to do with this,” She said.

“If you claim not to have anything to do with this, who kidnapped Betty then?” Peter asked.

“I swear I don’t know, I know nothing about this, I planned to start my life all over again and I never planned for this to happen,” She said.
