Matteo's Pov

We sat there in the car back seat holding on to each other.

It has been an hour since we stay like this, mostly talking and I am surprised to know she's taking a risk for me by going behind her mother's back.

I felt a little bit of guilt in taking advantage of her for a while.

In fact, here she was so invested with our Mate bond. She's willing to give up everything just for us to be together.

This got me wondering why her mother did not want us to be together. It also brought me back to my father's question on the status of my relationship with Adassah.
