A sob racked through my body in the strange-looking room. I was all alone again—no one by my side. In a few hours, the official ceremony will be over, and I will be Luna of the pack. But the Alpha hated me. What was the use of having such power anyway? A fresh set of tears flowed down my cheeks the more I thought about it.

Everyone was busy arranging the site where we would worship the moon goddess. Wolves are believed to be children of the moon.
