Chapter 169

I didn't go back with him. I couldn't stomach going back so soon and since he got an assistant, I wasn't needed there anymore. I was content to stay home.

I spent the free time returning to my books. Trying to get back into the mindset of a student. Rekindling the studying spirit, more like. It was just three months away but those three months have been the most eventful of my entire life. I have changed in so many fundamental ways. Sometimes, I look in the mirror and I almost don't recognise the full grown mature woman I have blossomed into. I see a woman staring back at me and I get shocked. I am still twenty two. In my heart, I think I am still the weak girl who had a bully for a mother. But outwardly, I have grown so much.

And it is all thanks to Linc. He has touched me in more ways than I can tell with his selfless kind love. He has transformed me. I don't think I could ever quantify how much.

Most if not all of the noise Charlotte raised with her stunt has died down
