Book 3: Chapter 29

Sasha nodded with a sniff, the tears were still threatening to fall and Vanessa wiped them away with her thump. Sasha sipped the milk ever so slowly and after she was done, both her mothers tucked her into bed to have a rest since it was doctor’s orders.

Sasha opened her eyes to the sound of her phone’s ringtone, she searched for it on the vanity and picked it up without checking who was calling.

“Hello beautiful?” She heard and froze, all her days of sorrow came back to her and she directly hung up the call.

The phone started ringing again but she ignored it. The call kept coming and when she couldn’t take it anymore, she answered, “what the hell do you want?”

“Temper, temper,” he chuckled, “I just called to know how you are doing.”

“I’m good and thanks for calling,” she replied icily.
