Isabella knew there was no escaping it so she sighed and followed Charlotte into François office. When Charlotte took François seat, she remained standing and kept staring at the desk instead of looking at Charlotte.

“You can look at me you know,” Charlotte said and when Isa looked up, she flashed a smile which Isabella could see did not reach her gray eyes. “I believe you and I know why I chose you first.”

“I’m sorry about your dress, Ms. Dubois, I have said that a million times and I will say it a million more. It was an accident; I really didn’t see you coming.” Isabella said, as she stared at the woman, she couldn’t stop the flashes of her hugging Chris’s arm and acting intimate with him crossing her mind. She wished she could clear everything so that she could look at the woman directly but the pain in her heart was not making it easy.

“It’s okay,” Charlotte shrugged, “Chris got me a new one,” she smiled.

Isabella was shocked but she could only react by
