Chapter 51. Crushed Down
Bree’s POV
The sound of my alarm ringing was what woke me up from my six hours of sleep. I screamed into my pillow in frustration, grabbing a hold of my alarm clock and throwing it across the room. I stretched my hand to the other side of the bed, where Hayden was supposed to be, to find it empty. It was still warm, which meant it hadn’t been long since he left.
I was about to fall asleep when my bedroom door slammed open. I was surprised; I remembered locking it earlier this morning when Hayden had sneaked in. I looked to the door to see Asher’s small frame staring at me, then to the shattered alarm clock lying on the floor. He sighed.
“Dang it. Mom! Bree already broke it. He yelled.
I stuffed my head back into the pillow, refusing to get up. I felt my bed deep and a small hand shaking me awake.
“Bree, Mom said to get up.” He says he is still shaking.
“Little man, let me sleep some more.” I grunt out, slowly drifting off to sleep.
